At Uptown Soda Bread Co., we bake up handmade, natural soda breads made in small batches to the local Chicago market. We took the company's name from the Uptown neighborhood, our stomping grounds in Chicago's north side.

How did this whole company thing start? We based this business on a single soda bread recipe that our grandmother, Mary Slack Collins, took with her from County Roscommon, Ireland when she came to the United States in the early 1920’s. Our family's been enjoying it ever since.

And with the addition of other sweet and savory flavors we hope you enjoy eating these breads as much as we love making them.
