Michelle Garcia is taking The Bleeding Heart Bakery to the next step by opening up her retail store in Ukranian Village. We wish her success at her new location: 2018 W. Chicago. Be sure to check out her new space when she opens on Halloween.

New Crepe Brunch Hours

Congratulations to Sarah Voden & Melissa Yen on their recent lease signing for their new space. As they get everything ready to open Vella Cafe next spring, we're lucky enough to have them continue with their Crepe Brunch at Kitchen Chicago for just a few more weeks. We've noticed that as the weather cools, people seem to be sleeping in a bit more, so we've pushed back brunch by an hour. Kitchen Chicago will still be open at 9am every Sunday if you'd like to get started with a coffee and newspaper, and the crepe menu will be available between 10am and 2pm. Don't miss out on the final weeks of our partnership with Vella Cafe!

Now that October is upon us, we have opened November for kitchen booking, and its filling up fast. Remember that time is reserved by paying in advance, so be sure to book your time as soon as possible. With the holidays nearing, the available hours are thinning!

Catch us on 190 North?

Did you catch us on 190 North this month? That's right, our mugs appeared on TV screens across Chicagoland, along with Sarah & Melissa of Vella Cafe. Janet Davies stopped by on a Friday to do a spot. Apparently, someone in the neighborhood passed on our little business to the producers, so thanks to Janet Davies & team as well as that mysterious benefactor.
